Willow Weekly News 25.10.24

Our first half term is complete! I am so proud of all of the Year 6 children, for settling into Willow class so well. Thank you for all of your support this term.

The children all looked fantastic coming into school, ready for the Halloween disco!

In Reading we finished our novel ‘Holes’, we really enjoyed sharing this story together as a class. We then wrote a book review on Holes during our English lessons. After half term, we will be reading the novel ‘The Boy at the Back of the Class’.

In Math's, we have completed our unit on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Well done to the children for all of their hard work. After half term, we will move on to our fraction’s unit.

In Art, we created 3D lantern (fish lanterns). First, we created our fish structures using straws and then wrapped this in cellophane. After, we used a PVA mixture to glue different shades of blue tissues. The children created some wonderful lanterns in the style of the artist, Hokusai.

Well done to Indie who received the certificate in celebration assembly this week.

Have a lovely half term,

Miss Bliss and Miss Davies
