In Maths, we’ve been looking at subtraction. We started the week looking at subtracting two 4-digit numbers with no, one and more than one exchange. We then moved onto looking at efficient subtraction and other methods as well as column method that could be used. For example: number line, mentally and estimation.
In our writing lessons we’ve been looking at a biography. After looking at what a biography is and the features, we wrote one together about Marcus Rashford then today on our own about Neil Armstrong.
The children enjoyed working in groups to create a Druid crown in history this week.
Thank you to all the parents who have returned slips for parents evening. We look forward to talking to you about how your child has settled into Year 4 next week.
Our certificate winner this week is Oscar. He is a fantastic member of Sycamore Class who is a great role model. This week he has worked collaboratively and compassionately helping others in his group. Well done, Oscar!
Also a big well done Sycamore Class for winning the attendance cup this week.
We hope you have a great weekend.
