Good afternoon,
The children have had a very productive last week of this half-term. In English the children have written recounts on the story of Little Red Riding Hood, there has been a big improvement in their presentation and vocabulary choices so I look forward to this progressing further after our break. In maths we have started a new unit on measurement, looking at millimetres, centimetres and metres. If there is a chance over the half-term break the children could show you some of their measuring skills and possibly even converting between them.
In geography we have concluded our topic on water, having looked at flooding and the effect of pollution. In R.E. we finished our look into Hinduism by looking at sacred texts. In reading we have finished our class text 'Claw of the Sphinx' and we will be moving on to 'There's a pharaoh in our bath' by Jeremy Strong.

This week our certificate has gone to somebody who has continued to work hard and really try her best. Congratulation Alaiya.
Over half term please encourage the children to read, go on Spelling Shed and complete some tasks on Mathletics.
I hope you all have a fun and safe break,
Mr Reynolds
