Good afternoon,
We have had a great week in Hazel. We have really got into our diary writing, reflecting on our character Jack in D-Day Dog. The children have done very well at understanding the character's thoughts and feelings. In maths, we have started our addition and subtraction unit which the children are really getting into. Alongside our daily maths lessons, it is great to see the children practicing their times tables and leveling up.
In geography we have continued exploring land use looking at rural and urban areas. In science we looked at scientist Inge Lehmann, who investigated the structure of the Earth and found the inner core to be made of solid metal.
One child who has particularly excelled this week and is this week's Hazel's certificate winner is Archie - congratulations.
Please keep encouraging the children to keep up the daily reading.
This week we slipped back down to third in the attendance, please keep encouraging the children to get to school on time.
Have a great weekend,
Mr Reynolds
