I think we predicted the snow in Chestnut Class, as our book this week is 'Ooo, Ooo, Ooo Gorilla!' by Lydia Monks. It tells the story of Gorilla who visits his friend and tries out skiing, skating and building snowmen! The children have enjoyed joining in with the story's repeating pattern.
In maths, we have been recognising and naming 3D and 2D shapes. We will continue with this next week as the children learn specific mathematical vocabulary. Go on a 'Shape Hunt' and see how many shapes they can name around the house!
In our history lesson, the children are learning how the monarchy is handed down through the family. They have had a go at drawing their own family tree!
Please continue to support your child with their reading. Little and often really helps!
Happy weekend,
Mrs Dowell, Mrs Armstrong and Mr Jones
