we have had a super week. The children are really enjoying working with Coach Neil each week on “Reading The Game,” they have learnt some super football moves this week – you need to get them to show you their Maradonna’s! Well done to Alice and Igor for being players of the week – it’s all about teamwork and they are fabulous at inspiring and helping their peers. The children have also written some very persuasive letters to Joe Hart.
We have completed out maths unit on “Area and Perimeter,” so next week we start “Multiplication and Division.” Learning their times tables is even more important for this unit than ever.
The children are planning their applications to become astronauts in literacy and will start to writ ethem next week.
Year 5 and 6 spellings were tricky but the children dis really well. I will give them their new spellings on Monday morning.
I am loving our art lessons: this week the children have completed their “Universe” compilations – I will post a photo when they are all on the wall. In readiness for next week, I have asked the children to bring a button or two to school to add to a class collage called “Button Moon.” White, silver or pale blue would be great. We will move onto collages inspired by the “Moon” by Saatchi Art.
The children have already begun to prepare for the sticking process next week.
A huge congratulations to Amelia, who received the Golden Certificate this week and to Adam, last week’s achiever. Superb homewrok from Amelia.
I hope you all have a super weekend, I am hoping to get out and about on some walks. The snowdrops are all starting to appear – a sure sign Spring is on its way.
Best wishes, Mrs P xxx
