Hello, I hope you all had a super half term. The children deserved a hard earned break as they had worked hard in the lead up to the holidays.
Thank you to all those of you who attended parent evening via TEAMS. I hope to catch up with those of you who couldn’t make it in the next week or so.
Welcome to Mrs Clode who will work in Oak Class on a Monday and Tuesday.
We have started our new literacy unit: “To Entertain,” where we will use “The Water Horse” by Dick King-Smith to inspire our own written work.
In maths we are studying “Statistics.” The children have enjoyed finding out all about graphs and charts this week.
A huge well done to Igor who gained the Golden Certificate this week for his super maths work, trying hard, never giving up and always working to the very best of his abilities.
We have watched the fire safety videos and I have sent the children home with a “Safety with Sparklers” leaflet. Please stay safe tonight and over the weekend but also enjoy the fireworks.
You will have noticed that when it is wet weather we leave via the boys cloak room so please wait on the play ground for your child – many thanks. If it is too muddy on the grass we will also leave via this exit.
Have a super weekend, Mrs P, Mrs Clode, Miss Hipkiss and Ms Nicholas.
