Hello and good afternoon. A huge well done to Jaimiey for gaining this week’s Golden Certificate for her writing about her setting.
Well done to those children who have at last completed 5 and 10 quizzes, they have had their lucky dips this afternoon. They are well on their way now, I hope the rest of the class will soon catch up! We calculated that the children should have read at least 10 substantial books over this last term – so come on Oaksters, get cracking!
Next week we will start our new literacy unit all about characters. We will finish our maths unit about multiplication and division in the next two weeks so it is imperative that the children continue to review their times tables. Well done to Bobby for reaching Level 5 this week.
Finally, we have said a sad farewell to Miss Hipkiss who has been on her teaching practice with us. We will all miss her a great deal. However, she is coming to join us on our Christmas Lunch Day – Tuesday 14th December. If any of the children would like Christmas dinner make sure they get their order and payment in as soon as possible.
I hope you have a restful weekend, although with Christmas in a few weeks I imagine you are all rather busy! I am really looking forward to all the build up with my first grandchild, Freddie, this year.
Stay safe, Mrs P, Miss Hipkiss, Mrs Clode and Ms Nicholas. xxx
