Good afternoon. What on Earth has happened to the weather this week? We have had a number of indoor play times so hopefully the children will be able to get some fresh air over the weekend.
Next week we move onto “Division” in our maths lessons. In our Literacy lessons we will complete our hotel advertisements and hopefully we will be able to record them as voice overs.
The children have had great fun imagining what they would pack in their suitcases if they were to go on holiday to Mexico. They have researched “flights” today.
A huge well done and congratulations to Zara Luca who received the Golden Certificate this week for magnificent work in her maths lessons.
Evelyn has been talking to me about creating an eco-garden at school: watch this space as she will be talking with some year 6 children who have had the same ideas. There is a lot top be done! We have some lovely flowers in the garden at the moment and some beautiful weeds too – butterflies and bees love them! Please see below:
Please remember we have only four days next week so we will be working hard to fit everything in.
Thank you to everyone who stayed for Thursday’s hot dog lunch – we had a great time and celebrated with a cup of vimto or two. Charlie tells me he really liked the sausages in school so next time he might stay for lunch – woooo. Oak Class say thank you to Wendy and her team for the super lunch. We watched some cartoons while we ate – does anyone remember “Speedy Gonzales?”
Must be an age thing!
Have a great weekend, from Mrs.P, Mrs Smith, Miss Allison and Ms Nicholas. xxx
