Definitely feeling a lot like Christmas now! Eddy our class elf has been up to a few tricks this week, I wonder what he will do next week?
We had a visit from Father Christmas yesterday, it’s a wonder you didn’t hear the children on the other side of Monkmoor! Today we had a fantastic Christmas dinner prepared by our lovely ladies and gentleman in the kitchen – the gravy was delicious! The rest was pretty nice by my Granny, who was head cook in a stately home, always said it was the gravy that made the meal.
We have completed all of our assessments this week so next week we can get to grips with finishing our design and technology moving toys. We will also be thinking about the different ways the Christmas story can be told. The video, “It’s A Boy!” with voice overs by Cannon and Ball is a fabulous version told from the point of view of three quails – not sure how three quails from the northern part of England got to Bethlehem but it is a great way for the children to think about the Christmas story.
A huge congratulations to Logan Barker who was awarded the “Golden Certificate” this week for always having a suoer attitude to his learning and makes a great contribution to each lesson. Well done Logan, you can see him on the front page with the rest of the winners this week.
Have a super weekend, Mrs.P.X
P.S. the children looked great in their Christmas jumpers today.
