Hello!
Goodness me, the week seems to have flown by! The children have worked hard and are getting used to new routines. Next week we need to work on being much quieter inside the classroom.
We have started thinking about our “Wild Water” theme. We are all looking forward to the launch of our theme when we visit The Rea Brook Nature Valley on Monday. The children have all brought a letter home noting what they need to wear and what they need to bring with them. Just as a reminder they will need to wear joggers, jeans or long trousers with shoes or trainers suitable for walking and wandering round a meadow. They should wear their T shirt and school sweat shirt and have a waterproof coat as the weather report says rain at the moment. They should have a sun hat and pop some sun lotion on before they get to school just in case the sun does come out. They need a rucksack with a water bottle and a snack. Finally, those children who need medication should have only their prescribed meds ready and the correct paperwork must be in school. Only one child needs to bring their visits letter back and then we are good to go. It will be a super experience.
I have asked the children to read and record in their diaries their thoughts about their books. They have had spellings this week with sentences for homework: we will check these on Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, have a super weekend and enjoy a good rest.
Best wishes,
Mrs.P, Mrs Smith and Ms Nicholas. xxx
