Oak Class Friday 17th April 2020

I hope you are all safe and keeping well? School seems very empty without you all, and very quiet. I miss you all very much.

I have put the next instalment of work for the next two weeks for you on the following plan. Remember to keep all of your tasks from the last few weeks safe because I would like to see them when we return to school.

This term we will study “The Ancient Greeks,” so I have decided to carry on with this theme. We will start with Geography so that you know where Greece is. Then after these two weeks I will post activities for “The Ancient Greeks.” There are some really helpful websites which I have included for you to use.

I hope you are reading lots and lots and lots! “Bookfest” will be streaming the Award Ceremony live on Thursday 23rd April at 10am: there are lots of details on their website- again this is on the planning sheet for you. Fingers crossed for “Malamander” by Thomas Taylor. There is a You Tube clip with this book but I thought it was creepy – you’ll have to let me know what you think when we come back or you could send me a postcard to school.

So here is the plan: I hope you enjoy the tasks and activities, I shall be trying some of them out myself especially planning a Greek meal. Last night we had a Greek salad with lamb chops for tea- very Greek.

Work for Year 5 Friday 17th April

I have also placed the “Times Tables Challenge Grids” on our homework page and also “Arithmetic 3” paper to have a go at. Good luck.

I hope to see you all soon, take care… Mrs.P. xxx
