Oh my goodness our classroom has been so hot! Please make sure your children have a water bottle in school at all times. They have full access to water but sometimes your own drinking bottle is very nice to have on your table so that you can sip it throughout the day.
We have had a busy week again! The children have completed their science investigation, using the results of their tests they have started to make the headband for their Alaskan Adventurer’s torch. Next week they need to finish and attach the light and switch to the head band.
The children have completed three maths assessments, all have achieved a little more than they did last term, so well done.
Our tadpoles have finally morphed into frogs and are ready to be released into the wild, failing that I shall release them in the school gardens near the mini pool.
We are in the final chapters of Wolf Brother, it has been a superb story. If you want to listen to it, you can find it on You Tube where Sir Ian McKellen is reading each chapter.
Finally, we have started to rehearse and learn our lines and songs for our Year 5 and 6 performance, “Darwin Rocks!” Again the songs can be found on You Tube, but I warn you once you have heard them you will not be able to stop singing them.
Have a great weekend, hopefully the weather will hold.
Best wishes, Mrs.P.
