Jam Jars Please!

Next week is Science Week. If anyone has any empty jam jars they can spare we would be very grateful. If they have lids that would be even better but it’s not essential.

On Tuesday the children will be challenged to build a container for an egg which will protect it from being damaged when dropped from a height. If they have any materials that they think will be suitable, please bring them in! We’ll provide the eggs, paper towels and mop!

On Wednesday we hope to do lots of exploration and discovery outside so please send your child with a bag of gardening clothes and a change of footwear that you won’t mind if they get muddy.

On Thursday they are invited to bring in a wheeled toy so that we can investigate the effects of gravity and friction on movement.

We’re looking forward to a fab week of fun science!
