Hello
We have had a very exciting week in Year 3, we have had our first group of fish. They have settled into life in Crowmoor very well. This week we have been learning about testing the water and conditions for the fish as well as introducing our first fish into the aquarium.
This week in Literacy we have been looking at the different grammar features of persuasive writing. The children have successfully used apostrophes for possession, apostrophes for contractions and model verbs.
In our Maths we have completed our Statistics unit. The children have been representing and interpreting data into Bar charts and Tables. They have shown a good understanding and have been able to answer questions based on these.
We have been continuing our Creating Curriculum topic ‘Stone Age’, we have been comparing Stone Age dwellings and designing a dwelling for a cave man. The children enjoyed discussing the different materials they would need to create there dwellings. Please could the children bring in cardboard boxes next week erg shoe boxes, so that they can create their Stone Age dwelling.
Have a good weekend,
Miss Bliss and Mrs Davies
