Welcome back to the new School Year! It has been great getting to know the children this week and I am impressed at how well they have been settling into Key Stage 2!
This week have been discussing and creating our Class Charter, learning about Year 3 routines and have voted for our School Council and ECO representatives.
We have also begun our topic this term ‘Extreme Survival’ and have used Atlases to highlight different climates.
As a school our main emphasis this year will be reading, spellings and times tables. Children will be expected to read at home on a daily basis and bring in their reading book into school each day. Inside the children’s homework books you will find a project sheet, children can pick which project they choose to complete each week, Whilst we try and practice timetables as much as possible in school, it would be a great help if they could learn them at home as well. The children will also be given spellings and will be tested on those on a Friday.
I hope you have a great weekend,
Miss Bliss and Mrs Davies
