We have made it to the end of the term and what a lovely way to celebrate than with the Jubilee!
Thank you to everyone who came to our picnic, it was wonderful to see so many of you there!
We have had lots of fun this week celebrating the Jubilee, taking part in a number of activities, including our whole school picnic, designing commemorative plates, creating flags and our 80’s artwork.
In Literacy, we finished our poetry unit, by planning, writing and editing our own poem describing the chocolate river from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The children have chosen some fantastic descriptive vocabulary to include in their poems.
In Maths, we have completed our unit on time. The children have worked incredibly hard to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes and minute. Please encourage the children continue to practice this skill at home.
Have a lovely half term, we will see you back in school on Tuesday 7th June.
