We have has another warm but great week! Thank you to all who have sent your child in with a hat, sunscreen (readily applied) and a full water bottle. The children have taken lots of care with the hot weather.
In Literacy, we have tasted salsa and explored Mexican food. We have written our own instructions how to make salsa, ready for when we make some next week.
In Maths, we have began to look at symmetry in shapes. We have looked at horizontal and vertical lines in shapes and how these are symmetrical. We then expanded our knowledge and worked on reflecting shapes and patterns in different lines of reflection.
In topic, we have continued our learning about food around the world. We discussed how rice was a staple food and learnt how to cook rice. In Science, we learnt about the different names and functions of teeth in humans and compared these to different animals.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Bliss, Mrs Martin and Miss Harrison
