Hello everyone,

This week we have been enjoying our new morning snacks, bagels! We have found it a great boost in the morning, preparing us for our learning.

In Literacy we have been learning about the features of a persuasive letter. We have been focusing on writing rhetorical questions as well as paragraphs. Next week we will begin to plan our letter.

In maths, we have continued with our unit on multiplication and division. It’s beginning to get harder so it’s a good job our children like a challenge! I have been pleased with the children enthusiasm during our cracking times table test, please continue to learn times tables at home as the levels do get very tricky!

In science this week, we have looked at where electricity comes from and discovered that there are many different ways to generate electricity, including using the wind! In topic we have begun our design and technology project, building an electric car. The children have analysed a range of vehicles this week and will apply some of these ideas to their design.
