Our first term is complete! It has been wonderful getting to know all of your children! I am so pleased with how well they have settled into Year 3 and also adapted to all the changes in school. Thank you for all of your help and support with this.
In Literacy, the children planned, wrote and edited their shape poems about autumn. I am so proud of the care the children have taken when presenting their work and also their ability to perform their poems to the class.
In Maths, we have been continuing with are addition and subtraction unit. We have been looking at adding and subtracting two 3 digit numbers crossing 10 and 100. I have assigned work on Mathletics linked to this, for the children to have a go at over the holidays. Their logins are stuck into the back of their reading records.
After half term, we will be starting our new topic on the Tudors. We have already begun discussing this and the children are very excited to be learning all about the Tudors- particularly the gruesome tails of Henry VIII and his wives.
Thank you for all of your efforts with ‘Wacky hair day’ they looked great!
Please remember to keep up the reading over the half term, it really make a difference.
Have a wonderful and restful holiday, we shall see you on Monday 2nd November.
Miss Bliss, Mrs Davies and Mrs Evason
