The weeks are going so fast, we have got so much to do before the Christmas break!
Next week the children will likely be taking part in the ‘Phonics Screening Check’ which they would have normally done last June. They will complete the assessment with me and I will do all I can to make sure it is totally stress free, please do not worry.
The children are continuing to write and illustrate their own book. Hopefully these will be completed next week. However, we will need to rehearse and act out the Christmas Performance over the next couple of weeks ready for the editing process. We aim to allow access to the video through your child’s school email account. Further details will be given closer to the time.
The children have really enjoyed learning about money through Miss Childs’ Ice Cream Shop! Next week we will begin to learn about Multiplication and Division by recognising and making equal groups.
We will be really sad to say goodbye to Miss Childs today. She has fitted in perfectly to our class and the children have loved being with her. I am sure they will remember all the fun learning that they have done with her: designing and making a castle, printing a fabric bag, buying ice creams from her shop, building a terrarium microhabitat and lots more! We wish her all the best in the future and any school would be lucky to have her as a teacher. Good luck Miss Childs, we will miss you!
Have a fab weekend,
Mrs Dowell, Mrs Armstrong and Miss Childs
