This week we have started to gather information about Castles and the people who lived in them. On Friday we wrote a diary entry pretending we were a servant working in the castle kitchen, it was really hard work!
In maths we have been discussing the properties of shapes and we built some 3D shapes using plasticine and straws. Next week we will be learning about position and direction. You can help by asking them about their left and right! This learning will also include clockwise and anti-clockwise.
Next week is assessment week so there will be lots of reading and answering questions but it is nothing to worry about, we do it everyday in comprehension time!
Please make sure everyone has their PE kit in school on Mondays and Tuesdays. The children have found some PE kit in the cloakrooms but it’s a lot easier to keep track of kit if it is correctly labelled. Please check all items are named.
Lastly, keep reading and practising times tables. I hope everyone is using their 2 times tables cards to help become more fluent when recalling facts!

Have a great weekend, see you all on Monday 🙂
