What a fantastic week we have had! All the children have worked hard to write and illustrate their book, well done!
In maths we have started the tricky topic of Fractions, I’m really pleased with their understanding so far. We have found halves and quarters of numbers. Some have progressed to finding three quarters too!
Next week is Science Week, I have asked the children to think of questions they would like to ask and find out about during the week. I’ve already had one, ‘Why do eggs float?’ I’ll look forward to testing this out over the week.
I have asked all the children to start collecting boxes and modelling materials to construct the scenery and background to their Pingu animation. We will start these after Science Week. The first task will be to make their own Pingu from plasticine.
It will soon be time to complete another Star Reader Assessment on Accelerated Reader, I’m confident all children will show progress as they are spending a great deal of time reading in the class.
Have a fab weekend!
Here are some ideas for scenery, please start collecting!
