This week we have been learning all about the real reason we celebrate Christmas. Next week we will be retelling the Christmas story using lots of conjunctions to make our sentences longer and more interesting. e.g. and, so, but, or, because…
In maths we have continued to learn about multiplication using arrays. This has helped us to count in 2s, 5s and 10s to solve problems. Next week we will be consolidating all the work we have done over the term. I will provide a selection of activities for over the holidays, to keep them ticking over, should your child choose to complete them.
Please help your child to begin to read the time on an analogue clock. Help them to read o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. Little and often is the key to learning to telling the time until it ‘clicks’. It’s a tough one!
Next week we will be performing our play three times; hopefully we are past most of the coughs, colds and sickness bugs!
Have a fab weekend,
Mrs Dowell
