The weeks are going fast, with only three left until half term. The children have finished writing their stories and I am really impressed with the progress that they have made. Some still need to improve their handwriting and we are working on this. Next week we begin an Animal Poetry Unit.
This week the children have completed a Star Reading Assessment and the majority have improved their score, well done! All the reading that we are doing in class is really paying off. Please continue to support your child at home with little and often reading.
We have come to the end of our Multiplication and Division unit but will continue to practise these skills in our 4 a Day sessions. This is where we complete a few addition, subtraction, multiplication and division questions at the start of our maths lesson. We need to make sure that they retain the skills that they have learnt. Our next unit is about Statistics. We will be making tallies and pictograms to record information.
The situation with long hair being tied back is much improved, thank you.
Have a fab weekend,
Mrs Dowell, Mrs Armstrong and Miss Pritchard.
