What a busy week! We have written our poems and presented them for display. All the children followed the process and have produced some creative versions based on:
‘What are Heavy? by Christina Rossetti.
What are brief? today and tomorrow:
What are frail? Spring blossoms and youth:
What are deep ? the ocean and truth.
They have enjoyed learning the new vocabulary and exploring their own answers to match the questions in the poem.
We have completed our unit of Statistics in maths. Next week we will begin our learning on Geometry by naming and describing the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. Please continue to help your child to learn their 2, 5, 10 and 3 times tables off by heart. They need to recall the facts quickly.
