What a week we have had! (in only four days!)
All the children have worked incredibly hard this week to complete their SATs. They have an excellent attitude to their learning and want to be the best they can be – well done! Next week is the Year 6 pupils’ turn and we wish them luck too.
It is great to see so many of the children having an interest in our new topic and completing drawings and research at home without being asked to do so – it shows they are listening well in class and thinking about it when they get home.
I hope many of them were able to talk to you about how food chains begin with plants and that plants get their energy from the sun through photosynthesis. Once the weather improves we’ll be able to get outside and do some gardening. Most of the children had questions about how plants grow and how they are used by animals including humans. We will be investigating some of these questions over the coming term.
I have arranged for the children in Chestnut and Elm class to have some Bollywood style dance lessons. Parents will be invited to join their child in one of these dance sessions. The date will be announced soon!
Have a fab weekend!
