Wow! I am so proud of how hard all the children have worked to learn their 2, 5 and 10 times tables this year. They have also used this knowledge to learn the related division facts. Many of them are showing superb resilience and perseverance when trying to achieve a ‘Lightning Flash’ on NumberGym Table Trainer. Well Done! Some have also moved onto the 3 times table and beyond which will set them up nicely for Key Stage 2. Please keep practising over the summer holidays so that they don’t get rusty!
Their final piece of assessment writing was a recount of the scene in ‘Matilda’ where Bruce Bogtrotter was made to eat a huge gooey chocolate cake. The children have used the skills they have learnt throughout the year and written some wonderful recounts. It was great fun!
On Wednesday the children will be taking part in cookery workshops with Telford & Wrekin Services, they’re all pretty excited!
It’s hard to believe they’ve only got five days left in Elm Class, we’ve had a great year and I’ve enjoyed supporting them to be more independent and to take on more responsibility throughout the year.
We’re looking forward to a fab final week in Elm Class!
