What a fabulous week we’ve had changing the story of The Tiger Who Came to Tea! We changed our class text map to the Bear Who Came to Breakfast, but as always the children have had lots of their own individual ideas and have amended their own copy of the original text map to tell their choice of story. We can’t wait to start telling them and writing them next week! We’ve also been learning lots about money in maths and the children are so good at recognising coins we decided to send them to the shop for Sophie and Mum to buy food to replace everything the tiger ate. They have been using different coins up to 20p to do this and have been practicing paying exact amounts (up to 20p) with the least number of coins. A very handy skill to have I’m sure you’ll agree!
Huge thank you to everyone who came along to the highlight of our week this week – the Bollywood dancing! So much fun and so great to have some grown ups come along and join in with us too. A video has been posted to Tapestry so you can see the whole dance and share it at home with your child. We also enjoyed making some Indian sweets – coconut ladoo after tasting some more indian food! What a fab day.
Next week we will be doing PE on Monday and Friday so please ensure your child has a kit in school. It is fine for children to leave their kits on school on their pegs if you wish to do so. We’ve started our Sports Day practice in our PE sessions so don’t forget it’s on Wednesday 26th June at 2.15pm. Have a lovely weekend.
