We’ve had a super second week back learning a little more about India and reading more Elmer stories. We have been focusing on writing simple sentences in Literacy, concentrating on our presentation as well as using the sounds we know. In Maths we have been working on number bonds – finding different combinations of two numbers that add together to make the same number. Next week we will continue some practice on recalling them but will also be revisiting 3D shapes and focusing on describing their properties. The children have had a lovely time role playing in our new Indian Restaurant and have also enjoyed making their own elephants as well as making a large Elmer to go on display.
As part of our Indian Spice topic we have arranged for the children to be taught some Bollywood dancing next month. A second session will also be held for parents to join us. Dates will be confirmed soon! 🙂
Please remember PE kits on Monday as we have some extra PE sessions over the next few weeks. Children can bring their kit on Monday and leave it in school til Friday when we have PE again. Alternatively, kit can be left on pegs each half term.
