The children have been incredibly busy this week practising our Nativity ‘Christmas Counts’ ready for their dress rehearsal this morning to school and their performances to parents next week on Tuesday 11th at 2pm and Thursday 13th at 9:30am. If you have not requested your tickets yet please contact the office as soon as possible.
They have also been busy learning new sounds in Lefters and Sounds and these have been added to their sound bags. They are all now learning the Phase 3 digraphs (where two letters make one sound). It’s really important that they are practising their reading as much as possible, 5-10 mins regularly makes the world of difference. Please remember to record this in their yellow reading records so they can earn rewards and have their books changed regularly.
They have been taking part in lots of independent maths activities and showing us what they have learned this term as well as completing some super writing about animals and making up our own version of ‘Dear Zoo’.
Next week will be our last Forest School session for the term (Thursday 13th December). Please ensure your child has warm clothes to change in to as we do go out in all weathers.
Have a lovely weekend. 🙂
