This week we have been reading some Winnie the Pooh stories and talking about animals who live in the woods or we might see at zoos or we might have as a pet. In Literacy the children have been drawing some amazing pictures and writing about them and in Maths we have focused on partitioning into equal groups to help us learn about doubling and halving. We have also been busy practising for our Nativity and the children are all doing really well learning the songs and are even beginning to remember some of their lines. There are definitely some budding actors in the class!
Stay and Play was a little quieter this week than usual so thank you to those who came. The children always enjoy it when their grown-ups come into school and they can share their classroom and their learning with them.
There will be no PE for the next couple of weeks as we are using that time slot to practice the Nativity. I will let you know when they will need their kits again.
There will be NO FOREST SCHOOL on Thursday next week (29th) but it will resume the following week. As the weather has now turned much colder, PLEASE ensure your child comes with warm clothes to change in to for Forest School as we do go outside for the whole afternoon, whatever the weather!
Have a lovely weekend and don’t forget to keep reading! 🙂
