What a busy week we have had as we start to get ready for the end of term! The children have been thinking about all the things they have learnt and reflecting on what things they are good at and what they would like to work on in Year 1. In Maths we have been revisiting some areas they found tricky in the assessments last week such as how many more, grouping (when you can’t move objects) and missing number problems. We have also revisited money to think about how our knowledge of tens and ones can help select the right coins.
The children had their final spelling test today – well done everyone! Thank you for all your support helping them to practice at home. 🙂
We had a super Sports Day today – Caradoc were the house winners but all the children did really well and some have some promising careers as javelin throwers and footballers! Next time England need someone to take a penalty they should call some of our children! 🙂 I have posted a couple of videos to Tapestry and there will be some further shots I have yet to post so please log on and have a look. It means so much to the children when they know you’ve been on to see what they’ve done.
It looks like it’s going to be another scorcher this next week – hats/caps and water bottles will be a must for the last three days of term. We have lots of exciting things planned so are really looking forward to it.
Have a lovely weekend.
