This week we have continued our learning around the story Three Billy Goats Gruff. In Literacy we have been ordering pictures of the story and using parts of the text map we wrote last week to help us write about it. Next week we are going to be thinking about how we can change the story – changing characters, events or the setting. It would be helpful to do some brainstorming over the weekend to help with this. In maths we have been learning to halve and share, and recognise the relationship between doubling and halving as well as practising recalling number facts. Next week we will be looking at the values of different British coins.
We have been thoroughly enjoying our new Billy Goats role play area and we are looking forward to taking part in the whole school science week next week, focusing on growing and changing. We look forward to sharing our experiments with you on Tapestry and at our Stay and Play session next Friday at 2pm. If you have any empty plastic bottles (large or small) we would really appreciate it if you could bring them in to us at the beginning of the week next week to assist with some of the activities we have planned. Thank you.
