This week the children have been very busy practising our Nativity ‘Mary’s Knitting’ which we will be performing to parents next week on Monday at 2pm and Wednesday at 9:30am.  If you have not ordered your tickets yet please see the office as soon as possible. They have also been changing the story Little Red Riding Hood into their own version using our ‘Talk for Writing’ text mapping technique. Most changed the wolf to a bear, dinosaur or dragon but we had some varied ideas for alternatives to Little Red Riding Hood and they did a super job of then retelling the story with their new characters.

Next week will be a very busy ‘Christmassy’ week with our own performances, as well as watching Year 1 and 2’s Christmas Play and of course Christmas dinner and jumper day on Thursday 12th. We will be looking at 2d and 3D shape in Maths and in Literacy will be looking at The Christmas Story and talking about the reason people celebrate Christmas. Please ensure children still have their book bags EVERY day and PE kits on Tuesdays.
