The children have all worked really hard this week, gathering information and choosing pictures ready to make their own information pages for our Beech Class book about India. They have all chosen something different to focus on so it should be an interesting compilation. In Maths we have been learning about using first, then and now stories to complete additions and solve missing number problems.
Following on from a post from home, they have all enjoyed making bird feeders using empty plastic pots, bird seed and peanut butter. We are all really looking forward to seeing how many birds we can attract to the outdoor and forest school areas once we put them out.
The vets role play area is almost up and ready to go. The children are super excited about it and have chosen how they think it should look, inside and out, picking a colour scheme as well as what should be in there. I’m sure it will be very busy in there next week once it’s fully opened, so keep an eye out for pictures on Tapestry!
On Thursday 27th May (last day before half term) we are celebrating Elmer Day (it is officially on Saturday 29th May) where the children can come to school dressed in colourful clothes (like the elephants in the story) or they can come in elephant-colour clothes if they want to be Elmer that day! It should be a lovely fun day to end this half term so it would be great if everyone gets involved.
Our Golden Certificate Winner this week is Harry. Well done! 🙂
Have a lovely weekend – hopefully the weather will improve a little soon!
