We have had a fab week this week, reading the story of Supertato, thinking what super-powers we would like to have and what our superhero names would be. We have also opened our Superhero HQ role play area and had a great time taking on the different roles and completing our missions.

Thank you to those who came to one of the two Phonics sessions I put on this week. It is so important to support your child with learning to read and it really helps to understand how we teach them, so I will be putting on more sessions in the next couple of weeks for those who were unable to make it. A letter with more dates (including after school sessions) will be coming out to you next week.

This next week (Tuesday 17th) I will be doing two Maths sessions at 9:15am and 2:30pm. These sessions will initially be a chat with me about how we teach Maths in Reception as this has changed recently and then your child will come join us to play some maths games. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible, either morning or afternoon.

Don’t forget to record any reading in their yellow reading records and books will be changed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays after they have read the book twice.
