Welcome back. It was lovely to see all the children again after the half term break and great to see so many of you at parents evening this week. Thank you for coming.
We have had a really busy first week back learning about who Guy Fawkes was and why we celebrate Bonfire Night as well as learning all about Remembrance and why people wear poppies at this time of year. In Maths we have been learning to find or say the number that is ‘one more’ than a number up to 10. We have also been counting backwards, singing ‘Ten Green Bottles’ and starting to find out about ‘one less’.
This week we have begun to make plans for our Nativity ‘Mary’s Knitting’ and the children have chosen the parts they would like. Letters will be sent out next week to let you know what part your child is playing and what clothing will need to be sent in to school for their costume. They will be performing it in the main hall at 2pm on Monday 9th December and 9:30am on Wednesday 11th December. Letters about tickets will be sent out nearer the time.
Our next Stay and Play session will be on Wednesday 20th November at 2pm and that will be the last one for this term with the Nativity performances and Carol Service at the church happening in December.
PE will only be on Tuesdays for the rest of term due to Nativity practices.
Have a lovely weekend.
