We have had lots of fun in school this week finishing the story of The Fox’s Sack and starting our new story The Sweet-Talking Potato which is VERY funny! I know lots of you have been enjoying it at home too and we have loved seeing the pictures and videos of all the work you have been doing. We have really enjoyed our maths too, completing our learning on capacity and watching the Numberblocks episodes that match the new numbers we have learnt, as well as finding lots of different ways to make 6,7 and 8.

Below is also a copy of the ‘Digging Deeper’ questions provided by White Rose to deepen children’s understanding of this next week’s learning and offer a little more challenge if they need it.
A huge thank you to everyone that has shared their work with us either via email, Tapestry or in our video chats. The children in class have loved seeing it as much as I have and it is helping us all feel that little bit more connected I think. We are really missing all the children who are staying safe at home, so it has been great to see more of you joining us for the video chats this week and thank you for bearing with me through a few technical difficulties! If you’ve not received an invite for one of the sessions – Monday at 2pm or Thursday at 1pm – or you’re unable to attend the one I sent you, please let me know and I can send you a new link via email. From that you can just click on the link to join the meeting at the appropriate time. I know the children have really enjoyed seeing each other, and although some have been a little camera shy at times, they are getting used to it. The children in class certainly look forward to seeing the rest of their friends, so I’m sure those at home do too.
Choosing the winners of the CROW Awards this week was especially hard with so much super work coming in from home. It was so close that I have decided to give TWO for the home learners this time – Declan and Bobby! Well done to both of you for all your hard work (and to your grown ups too for all their support!)
