On most Wednesdays our friends from The Baptist Church visit the school to deliver a short assembly based on a bible story. All the children thoroughly enjoy taking part in the short plays which always have a message to tell.
Some of our Key Stage 2 children helped to plant trees around the school grounds to enhance the Forest School environment. Gerald the Giraffe…..
We received a delivery of Gerald our bottle top Giraffe from the Britsh Ironworks Centre. In school we all worked together to collect as many bottle tops as possible to feed into Gerald! We had sooooooo many they didn’t all fit into Gerald!
We are now putting our heads together to come up with a piece of artwork we can make in school to celebrate our success with the recycled bottle tops! We will update you soon!

Live Music week…..
On Monday 4th November we had a visit from Shropshire Music Service’s Soul Band.
They played for the whole school and we all had a great time, singing along, clapping and dancing. As well as having a lot of fun, the group told us about the music and used games and activities to demonstrate musical elements such as harmony, tempo, dynamics, texture, timbre and pitch.
It was fantastic to hear such quality live music in our school.
Children In Need……..
On Friday 15th November the children came to School wearing bright clothes in return for a donation to this year’s Children In Need Appeal. There were some great outfits and everyone had great fun!
The Friend’s of Crowmoor sold hot dogs and cakes on the playground after School to raise funds too.

Crowmoor has worked in partnership with the Woodland Trust environmental charity for the last five years to plant hundreds of trees and many metres of hedgerow. Every pupil in the school has been given an opportunity to plant a tree over the last two years, to make their contribution to offset carbon production. The Eco Schools Group meets every Friday with the support of Mrs Carroll-Lewis, the Eco-Schools Champion.
