Sycamore Class Newsletter 15.3.24

Good afternoon,

This week we have been planning and writing our own non-chronological report in our writing sessions. We have almost finished our book ‘Rumaysa’ in our reading sessions.

In Maths, we finished our first unit on decimals and then have been recapping multiplication and division.

In Science this half term, we have been looking at scientists and inventors. After talking about Thomas Edison, the children enjoyed thinking of their own inventions.

Our Golden certificate winner this week is Grace. She is a kind, caring and helpful member of Sycamore Class who tries hard and always has a big smile on her face. Grace is constantly growing in confidence and has been contributing more to our class discussions. Well done!

We hope you have a great weekend.

Hazel Weekly News 29.9.23

We cannot believe that we have already completed another week in Hazel class!  This week we have been busy writing our biography about Rose Davies. We have added lots of information and some amazing facts about this truely inspirational lady.  Next week we are going to be making a class book of our work.

In maths we are now working on our addition and subtraction skills.  We are using numbers up to 100.  Each day we practise our times tables too.  Please help by practising these at home.  You could use Mathletics or Hit the Button.

We have learned how William Smith used fossils to age the rocks in the UK and how rocks are formed.  We are really enjoying learning about different scientists and inventors.

Have a great weekend
