Hello everyone,
The weather is beginning to get nicer which is wonderful! Just a reminder that children need to bring in a water bottle every day. Sun cream should be readily applied before coming into school and a hat if needed.
In English, we have finished our unit on speech. The children have written a persuasive speech to the Shrewsbury Prison about why they are not guilty of a crime. We have presented our work neatly and will be sending our speeches to the prison.
In Maths, we have finished our fractions unit. We have found fractions of an amount and have answered reasoning questions linked to fractions. I have been impressed with the children’s enthusiasm during this unit. Next week we will begin our unit on money.
This week we went on our visit to Shrewsbury Prison. We had a fantastic time learning all about how crime and punishment has changed over time. Why not see what prison facts your child can tell you!
It was great to see many of you today to celebrate the Coronation, thank you! The children looked wonderful in their crowns.
Have a lovely weekend; we will see you back in school on Tuesday 9th May.
Miss Bliss and Mrs Martin
