Well, the end of term and the end of the year has happened and we are now entering the holidays.
We had a fun last week and the children were fantastic in their final assembly. They all spoke and some shared a poem, which I think epitomises the leaving of Primary School before the transition to Secondary. I enclose a copy of the poem for your reference – it isn’t mine and I take no credit other than finding it!
Thank you for your support this year – I have tried to make it as normal as possible but I am aware that we did sadly miss out on some of the usual activities. The children were resilient throughout the year and even though we had the enforced lockdown we managed to just about cram in the content in the hope the children have a good grounding for their next school.
Thank you very much for my presents – they were generous, unnecessary but gratefully accepted.
Please pass on my final best wishes to your child; I am confident they will enjoy the next stage of their life and that they are ready to move on.
There is no homework; it’s time to down tools and relax.
Thank you again.
Mr Wilmot
