We’ve come to the end of the year in a very strange way indeed. I’m glad we have lots of good memories to look back on even though you weren’t in school for the whole year.
Do you remember our visit to Blists Hill where we all dressed up as Victorians? It was very funny! We learnt lots of songs for our Christmas performance and you all looked fabulous on the stage. We had only just got through to Science Week when we all had to go home because of the Coronavirus. We’d also learnt all the songs for our singing festival at ‘Big Belvidere’ but it was cancelled. I’m glad we got to learn about The Great Fire of London and I hope you all remember some of the main facts. Your art work of burning London has made a lovely display in the corridor!
Thank you for the emails I have had, it’s been lovely to see what you have been getting up to whilst at home – Jay caught a huge fish and Allegra had a socially distanced Sport’s Day with her friends! You can keep sending them in if you like and I can pass them onto your new teacher.
It’s been great to finish off the year with a few familiar faces from Elm Class. Skye, Jess and Gracie, you have been fab company and I’ve enjoyed seeing you in school even though it’s been a bit strange!
Have a great summer, but as always, keep reading and learning your 2, 5 and 10 times tables. Move onto 3s if you can!
Best wishes for next year, you’ll all be fab!
